This is for you, Judi! This meal received rave reviews from my peeps and me.
(serves 4)
1 jar roasted garlic and onions pasta sauce
1 can fire roasted diced tomatoes
1 T. tomato paste
Sliced mushrooms
1/3 sweet onion, fine dice
Minced garlic
Italian meatballs
1/2 t. fennel
1 t. Italian seasoning
1 t. Johnny's Garlic Seasoning
1 bay leaf (from my farm)
Flat leaf parsley (f m f)
Marjoram (ditto)
Oregano "
1/4 cup red wine
Put all ingredients in your slow cooker. Set on low for 8 hours. I served this over angel hair pasta, with a watermelon, feta, red onion (soaked in fresh lime juice), black pepper, mint, and parsley salad with a little EVOO, and warm roasted garlic bread.
