Dr. Pepper BBQ Sauce

Count down til July 4th, Day 3:
(makes one cup)

1 can (12 oz.) Dr. Pepper
1 cup crushed tomatoes (low sodium*)
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
2 T. spicy brown mustard
1 T. orange juice
1 T. Worcestershire sauce
1 garlic clove, minced
1/4 t. Johnny's Garlic seasoning*
1/8 t. freshly ground pepper

In a small saucepan, combine all ingredients; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, 30-35 mins. or until slightly thickened, stirring occasionally. Serve this heated as a dipping sauce with any of your meats of choice (or salmon).
